By accessing or using The NIL Athlete Network ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.

The NIL Athlete Network is a marketplace connecting student-athletes with businesses and brands for Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. These terms govern your use of our Platform and services.

2. Eligibility

To use The NIL Athlete Network, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction)
• Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Comply with all applicable NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and state laws regarding NIL activities

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Immediately notifying us of any unauthorized account use
• Ensuring your profile information remains accurate and up-to-date

4. NIL Compliance

Important: Student-athletes must comply with all applicable NIL regulations, including:

• NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA rules governing NIL activities
• State laws in your school's jurisdiction
• Your institution's NIL policies and disclosure requirements
• Conference-specific regulations

5. Prohibited Activities

You may not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Use the Platform for fraudulent or deceptive purposes
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise Platform security
• Scrape or collect data without authorization
• Post content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on others' rights

6. Payment & Fees

The NIL Athlete Network may charge fees for certain services. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Payment terms include:

• Platform fees may be charged on completed transactions
• Premium features may require subscription payments
• All payments are processed through secure third-party processors
• You are responsible for all applicable taxes

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you post on The NIL Athlete Network. However, by posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Platform.

All Platform content, including logos, designs, and software, is owned by The NIL Athlete Network and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NIL ATHLETE NETWORK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Platform. We are not responsible for disputes between users, including athletes and businesses.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Fraudulent or illegal activities
• Extended periods of inactivity
• Any reason at our sole discretion

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
